Alright... the purpose of my research was to dive into the beginning stages of creating a website, a blog and to gain copyright for my comic , Apocalypse City. I decided to make this assignment for something I hope to actually use for my comic career more than my educational career. I looked into acquiring government forms and there were three that could fit the description of what I was looking for (illustrations, serial publications, etc...) and I am still in the process of getting my questions answered.....ya gotta love bureaucracy! I also wanted to purchase a URL name for APOCALYPSE CITY. Unfortunately, Apocalypse City.com is already taken. I am currently looking into other options. I also found another site, http://www.mister.net/, that sells URLs and I will probably go through them by the end of this week and choose another name (it's a secret!!!). I'm finding myself wanting to do a lot of creative stuff on the website, but I was told to keep it simple. It's a difficult task, but I'm giving it my best shot!! Hopefully, I can use all these skills in my teaching as well as for my comic future comic biz!

Okay.... I went on About.com and looked at different companies that take care of copyright for you. They charge anywhere between $69.99 and 119.99 to do this.....that's a little steep. I decided to cut out the middle-man (Hey!!! That could be a new character!!!!.....no, wait.. it would probably be Republican...nevermind.) and go directly to the U.S. goverment page. I can download the forms from this link:

The problem is that they had three categories listed that could deal with comics, so I'll have to email someone. As far as web addresses (for when the comic becomes something) I found this website:

Land of the Dead

George Romero's Land of the Dead is coming out this friday and is looking pretty sweet! I can't wait to see it. It seems like it has been difficult to ruin a zombie movie lately with such good ones as Dawn of the Dead (remake), Shaun of the Dead and the Resident Evil movies doing at least a decent amount of ass kicking. (House of the Dead doesn't count!) Anyway, I hear that if this movie does well, there might be sequels. That would be a trilogy of sequels to a trilogy. Confused? Who cares....go see it!!!!!!
